Our last home league game of the season and it's a sell out against Derby. 3PM kick off and it's a funny one. We've nothing to play for except maintaining our form and confidence. We may meet Derby in the play offs, so we can't let them think they're better than us. On the other hand we don't want injuries to key players either. I hope we go out there today and play football. Derby will be in our faces, they have to be so let's make the ball do the work.

Good luck guys. this is important even if statistics say otherwise. A narrow Villa win is on the cards.

Was at the game on Saturday and something that surprised me was how solid and well organized Derby were in defence. Something to bear in mind should we face them in the playoffs as I didn't think we posed much threat until we went two up top.

Their defending was in a marked contrast to ours, Neil Taylor seems to have badly lost his way since a promising start.

If Fulham end up third and Middlesborough are 5th then we're going to need to do something to protect our flanks. Both teams attack with pace down the wings and we tend to get caught out by it. Derby know how to park the bus and as you saw first hand we aren't incisive when we are forced to play in front of a team's packed defence.

We will need confidence and luck to get through three cup finals. I hope we can do it, but I wouldn't put money on it.

The last match of the season and I'm not sure how I feel. We've selected an end of the season team against Millwall to rest half a dozen key players I guess.

Nothing on this game except form and confidence.

Why do I feel like the season's over? The play offs are just round the corner and yet I can't raise any excitement for them. Could it be because Pulis and Jokanovic will most likely be standing in our way. Even Rowett could be waiting to block us! Maybe the goose bumps will happen on the day. I hope so.

Fulham and Derby both have form for bottling playoffs. Whoever wins our game will be the team to go up IMO.

Middlesborough, then...

Am I pushing my luck? I've just had SKY Q installed today so that I can watch Villa in 4K next season (and the Barcelona grand prix this weekend lol). It's probably the kiss of death for our prospects!

Sometimes I think the poorer the picture quality the better where we are concerned!

Feeling nervous.

Jedinak coming in makes sense considering the opposition.

Good luck tonight Sandie. If you're on form we'll win!

On a much sadder note, I've just heard the horrendous news about Jlloyd's death. Rest in peace brother.

Only one enforced change .... Bree in for the injured Elmohamady. I hope Jedinak's legs are up to it.
