Well that was embarrassing. We go one nil up early and stop playing. The manager can see we're sitting back and being outworked, and the fans can see what's going to happen .... but Bruce changes nothing!

According to Bruce "the young ones got caught up in it". "It will be a learning curve for them". "It's disappointing to be the Villa manager on day's like this".

O'Hare was taken off because he struggled to get into the game after half time .... nothing to do with the fact that Villa didn't get out of our own half after the break. Negative sh*t, and damaging comments from Mr. Steve "nothing to do with me gaffer" Bruce!

Bree and O'Hare were the only "youngsters" that were played really, you could include Green and Davis as youngsters but both are pretty much regulars.

I think we are still close to the promotion places despite Bruce.... not because of him. It's so frustrating!

We play Notts Forest on Saturday. They have a new manager Aitor Karanka, so they should be up for it. Will we be?

We have to beat Forest if we're serious about promotion. A draw or a loss will be disastrous.

I've just noticed that this is a SKY TV match. 5.30pm kick off.

We'll lose to Forest, suffer "mass hysteria" and then see the manager save his job once again when we play Barnsley. It seems to be our all too predictable pattern.

Unfortunately that's a fairly accurate description of Bruce's luck!

We have to be positive if we want three points out of this. C'mon Villa!

We won with a negative performance. There were glimpses of what we could do if sitting back and keeping it tight was not our only tactic.

It's not that I'm ungrateful .... I'm delighted with the three points, but I wanted to enjoy the football as well.

It's a spectator sport, but it's been turned into a "results based business" rather than an entertaining game.

If Villa want me to part with big bucks, they have to be prepared to entertain me, otherwise I'll just sit home and wait for the classified results, if that's what football is really about now.

Barnsley next up at Villa Park. I know they got a surprising draw at home against Wolves, but this has to be three points in the bank. We have to win!
