Thought it was worth a thread for other club's games. Doesn't matter what division it's in, what games have caught your eye?

My unhappiness at today's result has been tempered somewhat by both Chelsea and Liverpool losing today. Anybody else think that Mourinho will be gone before Christmas?

Mourinho is being ruled by his own arrogance at the moment. He's stifling his talented players as individuals, to fit his vision of how to win a game. I suppose you could say that Rodgers is doing the same thing in his own quieter way. He's continuing to impose a system of 'Rodger's' style football on players who are good enough to play more expansively.

I think Chelsea are also suffering from John Terry aging so badly. Players like Carragher and Ferdinand reached a point that they were eased out before they aged too badly. Terry still expects to be the first name on the team sheet.

As for Brenda, I've never been sure of him. At one point, I actually thought we had a better manager in Shambert. Of course that could just mean I'm a poor judge of managers rather than Rodgers being useless.

Good game. Always good to see Utd lose! Rooney has been poor so far this season.

As for Andre Ayew, anybody else starting to wonder if we signed the wrong brother?

Looks like we brought the runt off the litter, just hope his dad has some influence on the lad.

Cracking second half from Swansea along with great passion from the supporters and players, never stopped moving the ball forward and always looking to get that third goal. Well done Swansea! Non-Villa Games Thread 3640668516

The England game is more like a training match than a competitive Euro game.

Is there any point to the likes of San Marino playing the likes of England in competitive qualifiers?

Went 3-0 as I typed that.

No point at all .... Rooney equals Sir Bobby's scoring record, England qualify for a major Championship finals, against a pub team. Fifa ought to put all these tiny (San Marino is half the size of Bromsgrove!) no hopers in a knock out tournament of their own.

Rooney taken off before he can break the record, might add a few bums on seats to the next home game.

The FA and Media will both be pleased that it adds interest to an otherwise difficult to hype game, now that we've qualified.

I'm going to say something really unpopular now .... Delph is a very good footballer. I watched him for 30 minutes last night admittedly against very poor opposition, but on a rubbish pitch his class and composure shone through. Gueye is a terrific central midfielder and a different but adequate replacement, but I'm not going to knock Delph or the way he left us. He was tempted to stay at our very ordinary club, but in the end the sheer gulf in money and opportunity dragged him away.

Good luck to him.

As with a lot of unpopular players, it's not that he left its the way he did it.

I know it looked bad, but don't you think he made it a lot harder for himself by trying to stay loyal, when common sense should have told him that it was an offer he couldn't refuse. A less Villa orientated player would have left without too much hassle. (Imo)
