Here we go again, but against a better quality team this time. The next two matches will be a measure of any improvement made by Bruce and co.

Can we win and put on a performance, or will we be out pressed, out possessed and out played?

Do it for the Villa fans. Entertain us!

I've just noticed that Reading got thrashed 7-1 by Norwich last week! Rebound or more of the same? I'll have to think on it.

I've also just noticed that we are the only match in the Championship on Saturday .... the rest are being played tomorrow, apart from Wigan v Barnsley which is tonight.

This puts us at a disadvantage as we play Fulham on Monday 2:45pm kick off (Sky game), and Fulham will have had an extra days rest!

There's no apparent reason. It's not being televised and Birmingham are playing away so it should be played today. Strange decision!

Does it mean we are going to have to rotate our side between the two games? There are a few of our players who I'd suggest wouldn't cope well with two 90 minutes in two days.

That's a good point. Some of our players still struggle with 90 minutes, so we will probably make starting changes for the game at Fulham.

We have an answer.

It's a noble gesture and reflects well on Villa's relationship with the local community, but it will penalise use when we play our second game in less than 48 hours.

No Taylor in the team or on the bench so that must be an injury. Amavi at left back. Same team apart from that by the looks of it.

Al habsi made a good save from Jedinak to give away a corner, then he spoiled it by rushing out and getting nowhere near the corner leaving Chester to nod home.

We actually had more than 50% possession until we equalised, then we started to concede possession in a fairly lacklustre second part of the first half.
Will we come back out and press and battle to get a winner, or will we sit back and hope to snatch a win on the break?
