I hope the links work, every goal conceded this year so far.

The links didn't work as intended.

Click link, select full stats, select opposition, de-select Aston Villa, select shots (on the bar next to performance), then de-select everything bar shots and headers. You get a graphic showing the goal area and where the shot was taken from and a graphic of the goal showing where the goal crossed the line.

Interested me any way.

Very interesting links, thanks for sharing them.

Almost all of the goals we've conceded have come from inside the area. I know this will be quite normal but I still think it suggests we need to sharpen up our defending in the box. We don't seem to close down opponents and we get beaten too easily too.

You are right Sandy, that is what struck me 2 goals outside the 18 yard box. I think this is because our defenders are getting pulled out of position, the corridor of uncertainty.

The other thing to note is most goals scored are from outside the 6 yard box and tend to come in from the flanks and in to the oposite corner, making it look as though our wing backs are getting done for pace.

Further analysis needs to be done as to who was playing in the relevant positions. Maybe later tonight.
