Indeed whilst there is much to be excited by that excitement can only cautious for now. Of course, as recent results demonstrate we obviously have the right manager in place.

We'll lose roughly 10% of the training ground and suffer lots and lots of disruption as it is being built and also issues such as noise pollution etc during construction and afterwards. I wonder how much compensation we will stand to get, what it can be used for (ploughed into Xia's plans for re-development) and how severe an impact it will have on our facilities at BMH.

It seems as though my response about the loss of 10% of BMH was ill considered. This article suggests that we would need to totally relocate! Gulp!

It's a good job that we have Dr T as an owner. I would trust him to come up with an innovative solution to a problem that he has apparently solved many times previously in his working life. Space and relocation.Sandie wrote:That certainly puts a different complexion on things. I've seen BMH before and we have a sizeable parcel of land that won't be cheap or easy to replace.

Re: Dr. Tony Xia.
I'm sure he would have known of the planned HS2 implications, but the final decision on building it has still to be confirmed. With the financial implications of Brexit due to hit hard over the next decade, it seems like madness to invest over 50 billion pounds in a scheme to shave an hour off some train journeys. It should be cancelled if common sense prevails.Sandie wrote:You'd assume he's known about this from day one through due diligence etc and consequently will already have contingencies in mind.
