Another game looms on Valentine's Day, this time against an unconvincing Liverpool side.

I'm saying it will be time to fall in love again as Gabby scores in a 2-1 win. Veretout will get the other one.

Liverpool aren't playing well at the moment, and they look short on confidence. What better place to come than Villa Park, which should advertise itself as an infallible confidence boosting product for failing teams.

Norwich were an exception to that rule, but they played so badly that it was hard for us to lose that one. We will be back to our old second best self against Liverpool.

I''m going for a 2-0 loss.

I've just re read my negative post and thought I should explain it.

I've only just come to terms with Villa's impending relegation, and I'm not sure I'm ready for a "false dawn" to turn me inside out again. Miracles can happen, but I'll dampen down my expectations for the sake of my sanity.

I can understand that. For my own perspective, I gave up hope months ago. We are a much better side now than we were even a month ago but it's now too late. We might not finish dead last but we will be in the bottom three.

Well they've lost to West Ham tonight, and I've seen nothing to alter my conviction that we'll beat them in this.

Benteke looked like a husk of the player he was for us, even on one of his can't be bothered days.

My one doubt is that Benteke can't continue to be as crap as he has been and we're the perfect opponents for that.

A couple of years ago I thought he was destined for the very top but his move to Liverpool just hasn't worked out for him thus far. He's getting an awful lot of stick from Liverpool fans but even when he leaves I don't think Villa Park and the Championship will be his destination.

I agree with that, I'd also prefer Sanchez to stay out of the team. We're so strapped for strikers I'm agnostic on Gestede being involved.
