Recently, which is the only timescale RHM will have experience of we have bought in all our players, and no one has succeeded in breaking through into the first team as a regular from the Academy. Baker is the only one who has finally made it (I'm discounting Gabby) and Nathan has had to wait through loads of reserve games and loans until he's become a full grown man in order to feature. Villa do not have anything in their locker to persuade an 18 year old RHM that he will get regular football here, even if he signs a new contract.

How long will the impasse between him and the club last?

It's a shame because you'd think with two largely ineffective senior strikers available there'd be opportunities for RHM.

RHM's window of opportunity is only a three week one. After that he knows he will be back in the U23's. He should stay and learn his craft, but 18 year olds are "Men" these days and he probably thinks he's ready to feature as first choice for someone. Loans are his best option in my opinion.

Supposedly Bruce has said on WM that MC44 is badly out of shape and not going to training so has been dropped and fined.

Radio BBC WM are tweeting that Ross McCormack was missing today because he has been disciplined by the club for being unfit, having a bad attitude, and regularly missing training.
What is it about the Body Moor Heath training ground environment that has this effect on so many of our players? Do we mismanage them so badly that they turn into rebellious idiots? Or is there something in the water?

Meaning we've got two strikers out playing in Africa and two not being considered for selection due to issues. That's leaving us with Gabby as our only option and that's another player who's had disciplinary issues in the past.

Why did we sell Gestede so hurriedly?

I've duplicated your post Sandie, sorry. It begs the question why so many Villa players have refused to do what they are required to do under the terms of their contracts? There seems to be an anarchic element still present at the club.

A very good question. Gestede was our only real number 9. Bruce's "explanation" about him wanting to play Premier football was a cover for us wanting to get rid of a player that we never gave a fair chance to, due to a total lack of supply and limited playing time. It's one of the "management decisions" that I was referring to earlier. His apparent belief that Gabby is a goalscorer and Westwood is our second best midfielder is also baffling.
I expect the manager to actually know more about the players than we do, but at Villa this doesn't seem to be the case .... Why?

Agbon actually put in a shift yesterday. The fact that it came a season and a half too late does somewhat go against him.

Meanwhile, it sounds like Ross McCormack is putting more effort in to devising excuses for not making it to training than actually training.

I'd be amazed if McCormack is still our player come Feb 1st. He's done little of note though I suspect the story about his gates will live long in the memory. A bit like Unsworth and his geographic issues.
