This will take some digesting. We weren't very good tonight and Reading bossed us, but that's three points that nobody can take away from us. Hell's Bells!

Well .... I'm off to bed to try and get my head around tonight. I listened to the match commentary on WM and it painted a picture of a team struggling to do get to grips with the basics, but somehow we won. Was it fresh legs in the right position at the right time?

Part of our problem is psychological. Picking up this win will help that so much regardless of the manner in which it was received.

COME ON!

Great win, battling performance, but bloody hell, deflected goal, Suicidal Ciss defending, & Ayew crack a smile pleade.

Onwards, upwards & Bruce looks like he wants to do a Leicester with no posession & counter attack.

Right now I will take it, but boy is there some work to be done.

31% possession won't get the job done week in week out, but with good strikers it gives us a chance on the break.

Cissokho has been guilty of clumsiness, but if you look at both Penalties, he was trying to get across to deal with problems that our disappearing right back causes. Yesterday Hutton was way up the pitch when they attacked the box where he should have been (he sauntered up seconds after), and then he compounded the problem by standing disinterested as he watched his man attack the saved penalty ball and stick it in the back of the net.

With the errors from our full backs it's going to be difficult to pick up wins. We need to sort it.

I think Richards and Amavi have to be our starting full backs.

At least we've slain the spectre of the "can't win away" ghost!
