I've often said (somewhat tongue in cheek) that the fans know more than our footballing management at AVFC. I'm beginning to be afraid that it might be true. Our transfer targets have to be key players. If they're not the best available, we can forget the Premier League. We cannot afford to buy one player who's a squad player because we've already got at least a dozen of those.

Bruce has had a right go at Grealish, he told him that he can cut out acting like a clown after each tackle. He said that you might get away with all the hand waving and appeals to the referee on the continent, but it's not acceptable in this country and he doesn't want to see him doing it again.

He doesn't evade his own failure with the team selection and he certainly doesn't pull any punches with regards to the players (I can't bring myself to call them a team).

What sort of utterly inadequate pathetic excuse of a footballer manages to be in central midfield for 45 minutes and have as little influence and as few touches as Westwood and Gardner did? Absolutely inexcusable. Tshibola did better and begs the question of why he didn't get a game whilst these wasters did.

Let's not stop there:
McCormack, 14 touches in 81 minutes. Shite.
Bacuna, playing in midfield/wide for 90 minutes. 23 attempted passes. 56.5% successful.
