I really don't think we could be playing them at a better time. They have a poor manager who's got to be nervous about his position and ironically I think the result last night counts in our favour. Whilst they came close they didn't quite lose so there won't be as much of a desire to react from their players.

In other news it seems that Newcastle are back in their default position: Crisis. Too early to say that it's looking like a question of 'who's going down with the North East team?'

This shows that we cannot simply rely on other sides to keep on losing as we have in the past. We're looking like we'll be second bottom at the close of play this weekend and we have some tough fixtures ahead.

They're now 3-0 and Davis got a second, looking like they are going to the Euros. Davis has had a decent enough career since he left us.

Totally forgot England were playing last night, such is my lack of interest in the national side. To be fair though 9 out of 9 is pretty good. I wonder whether we'll have a decent tournament for a change? Well played to N Ireland, superb job in qualifying.
