See this I don't get (N'Zogbia) Why tell someone after the cup final they don't figure in your plans, to then back down and call them back up. Actions of a desperate man. Nzog has never done it for Villa ans isn't go to be Sherwood's saviour now. Bizarre.

He's our best crosser of a ball so if it isn't for a good reason it seems a bit daft as Tim will probably moan about us 'not getting crosses into Rudy' after the game if it doesn't pan out.

Really don't rate Richardson as a full back.

Me neither, or rate him full stop. He;s signed his own P45 if we lose and he's just dropped Amavi imo!! No Veretout in entire squad either??

If you think back to the article saying which signings were Sherwood's and which weren't, this time seems to be made up of players who were either here to start with, Sherwood's choices or the ones that were 'joint-decisions' (Ayew and Gana were, IIRC?). Perhaps he's trying to prove a point?

Yes just thinking that. In the 'leaked' article it said Amavi, Veretout, Traore and Crespo weren't his signings. Defo seems he's drawing battle lines. IF he has just dropped our best defender to prove a point, he should be sacked tonight.

He seems to think Sinclair is a striker. Still, if Gestede gets injured Tim's gameplan would go to shit as there's no one else there to play that particular role.

The negatives in that line up outweigh the positives. Richardson in particular is a nonsense of a pick against Chelsea, Amavi should be first on the team sheet full stop, you can guarantee that he'll bring him on when we're 3 down and 15 minutes left.

No Veretout is weird, nothing at all about him being injured, I give up about trying to work out what Sherwood is doing.

Will cross my fingers and hope for the best.
