That's about as strong a team as we can put out at the moment. Bruce is giving it a go, and Spurs clearly aren't bothered by the look of their team.

The pundits love us don't they.

We're defending with everyone back and we're frustrating Spurs, but on the rare occasions when we get forward Spurs look rattled.

Let's hope we show the wider viewing public that we can actually play football in the next 45 minutes.

Now we can concentrate on getting some decent players in.

Johnstone did better than our other two keepers would have, and Tshibola did okay as did Adomah. Baker and Chester are worth their places but that was about it today.

I thought Bacuna had a reasonably good performance too. Time will tell but I was impressed by Johnstone. Hopefully, Tish has done enough to cement a partnership with Jedinak in the longer term.

You're right Bacuna also did his job, but as Dion Dublin said "Villa will have to ask themselves what they added to the game today?" How is this team going to score goals? Answers on a postcard please!

I don't think we would use this formation and set of tactics usually which was a part of today's performance. If we'd set up to attack we would have been embarrassed and, with Gabby and McCormack our badly out of form striking options, still would have offered little.

I think nobody will deny that we need a little more in midfield, a new attacker on the left and the lads to come back from the AFCoN but we've known that for months and months already.
