Fair play to Bournemouth .... again. They're a very hard working well coached team who never say die! It's not looking good is it.

I'd say a factor for them and Watford (and also Leicester with their run that ended last season) is that they had the chance to develop a winning feeling last season and have been able to continue that into this one. I look at the league and see Leicester in second, Watford in seventh and Bournemouth in a decent enough position and think there's no way we should be in the position we are. These are teams with good managers who've got confident players and nailed their summer recruitment. All of which (along with the winning feeling factor) is in a marked contrast to ourselves.

That's a very fair assessment.

Newcastle beat Spurs .... we need three wins and other teams losing every match to get out of the bottom three. It's not going to happen is it?

We're fucked.

Newcastle will almost certainly beat us next week. McClaren has, after looking hopeless at the start of the season, managed to get a reaction out of his players. Meanwhile, we keep on repeating the same mistakes that has seen us bottom of the division as teams like Bournemouth and Newcastle are picking up points in the unlikeliest of places.

It's the clearest indicator yet that this is the year we get punished for being run like a village Sunday league team.

Aston Villa .... the team that never learned!

Just had a look at the league and it's even worse than I thought!

8 points from safety and 10 from Newcastle and Bournemouth. We can win the next three and still be in the bottom 3 if other teams pick up points.

I bet they're playing with two up front, and they're not packing the defence. (I'm still annoyed at yesterday Very Happy )

Well done Watford, really entertaining and effective. Flores has got them flying and deserves a lot of credit.

That was a dour defensive game against Swansea today, but West Ham have now drawn their last three games 0-0, that makes the three points we need next week more difficult for us.

West Ham are a much better team than Newcastle so we will need to improve a lot over the next weeks.

At least I can relax and enjoy the match between Arsenal and Man City tonight, without worrying about what effect the result will have on the mighty Villa. Non-Villa Games Thread - Page 9 3640643743 Non-Villa Games Thread - Page 9 2614569260
