I'm cackling like a loon at the way things have gone for Newcastle. Two weeks ago they were on about how they were going to get their own back on us for SEVEN years ago and now, thanks to an inability to beat us, they're joining us in the Championship.

Next season, when they come to Villa Park we need to do a display like the one Rapid Vienna did against us. Loads of banners saying 'The Nightmare Returns'.

I feel sad for Norwich and Newcastle fans today. They're human just like we are, and being relegated hurts. Well played Sunderland though, they deserve to stay up for their effort, guts and January investment. Well done Big Sam, he's a real Pro.

It would be this point when I would ask who we want to get promoted via the play off final but it's not really relevant to us is it?

That aside, I want to see Wednesday win. They're another big club who have had a long exile from the top flight and are in a region lacking premier league representation.

In other news, Barnsley will be joining us in next season's Championship. They were bottom in December (like we were) but managed to come back to get into the playoffs. I suppose it's better to go to Oakwell than The Den.
