Without Adomah in front of him Hutton will get up to the corner flag regularly yet again, and Newcastle will exploit the space behind him. That will stretch our slow CB's and we will gift a goal. We must learn!

The players need to keep their heads up and remain confident as they competed really well that half. Lansbury needs to push further up the pitch as we need to get a goal so we need to be a bit more ambitious. All in all you can't fault the players that half. We're due a bit of luck and as long as the players keep fighting this second half and show a bit of ambition I think we will get.

One lapse, one chance, one goal as the commentator so eloquently said. We go wobbly in front of the posts yet again.

I've been impressed with the work rate of Bjarnason, Hourihane, Lansbury, Jedinak and Taylor. Hutton has also put a real shift in. Kodjia is attracting a lot of ball and show boating too much as usual, if he would only give and go he'd be far more effective. Hogan is still too isolated but he's showing what a willing runner he is. Let's do the same again second half (without the panicky defending) and see where that gets us. We haven't had a single goal or an assist from any of the prolific players that we've brought in January, not sure who assisted Kodjas barnsley goal having said that but boy do we need a break. We do need to get some midfield runners attacking the box more.
