For those not watching. We're playing with a diamond midfield. Sanchez sitting, Gana left, AW right and Bacuna at the top of the diamond. Not as defensive as first thought

Gestede not getting any space at this level. Will need to adjust to a different type of defender I think.

Same old thing. We give the opposition too much respect before we even kick off, even though they're the worst team in the league. What other team in the Premiership play with three defensive midfielders? None! Then we use Hutton for most of our attacking service attempts.

In fairness VB Gana is a box to box midfielder (certainly was in his last season in Ligue 1) Westwood was also box to box for Crewe and today whilst it's scrappy them two certainly aren't sitting and defending as such. They're very much playing as box to box midfielders.

That said we could of picked Gil over either Sanchez or Westwood. I see TS aiming for high energy, high pressing and sees Gil as someone who slows the passages of play down?! That's my take on it. We have two central strikers for the first time this season and I think we'll prove to have too much for this Sunderland team. All about opinions though and we all see the game differently. It's scrappy, I know that much.

Sinclair, Richards AND Sanchez all should have done better there. A good chance goes begging.

Meanwhile Clark diving in and getting jumped over. So rash at times. That's why we need lescott.
