Well F... me, how very Villa was that?! What on earth was Gollini thinking? Shocking decision (that's twice already this season now he's been at fault)Lots to be positive about and Jedinak will help see us through in games like this, however for now I'm bloody angry!!

I wouldn't pin it entirely on Golini. Two defenders were involved and one just stopped whilst the other one was moving somewhat lackadaisically back. If both had been quicker or more alert to the situation the chance could have been closed down.

After a good first half (apart from not taking our chances) we let Huddersfield have far too much of the ball. We cannot defend a 1-0 lead .... we know that.

I take that on board, however once those things haven't happened and the ball arrives at Gollini's feet, he's got to do better than kicking it directly at an oncoming player, ANYWHERE but there basically. Shame as he had been great until then. As long as he learns from it (2 now) then great, but is he still a little green to be our No1 given we only have Bunn and Steer? The while team need to learn how to manage games and see these kind of situations out, in truth it had been coming for a while. I guess it's harder to take as we all would have predicted an error by us as opposed to a great goal by them. Must stop that and FAST!!

As I said in my other post, lot's of positives too for the long term, new team that look largely really good and will gel further, add a few more after Jedniak and we won't be far off the top places UTV

What I would say on Gollini is that we've seen two dubious calls from him already in just three appearances. There might come a need to take him out of the firing line and we probably need better than Mark Bunn to allow that.

34,924 at Villa Park tonight. That's super support and in an evening kick off against far from glamorous opposition. Keep that up and the club will have to re-open the Upper Trinity.

It's ironic that Gollini is noted for his accurate kicking (having started life as an outfielder). Two bad kicks in three matches doesn't look good, but last nights mistake led to a freakish goal. He probably could kick that ball another hundred times without getting the same result. I agree that the Championship needs experience, because the one thing these players do is chase everything down, but I also think Gollini has been unlucky.
