In recent months, after this shit sandwich of a season, I had started to think AVFC had got to the point that they were so bad that I could no longer get angry at them. Every new low could be greeted with a shrug of the shoulders and a 'Well what could we expect from that lot?'. Today has proved that wrong. I am absolutely furious. Maybe the Norwich game gave me delusions or maybe today was that terrible I could feel so utterly pissed off at them.

Well one thing is for certain Sandie, that false hope I had up until today's game has very quickly been torn apart. We're down, we're clueless and without any fight or backbone. Just end the season now.

That is as bad as anything I have seen watching Villa and I've been going down since 1981. It's actually quite hard to make such a bad job of things, so well done Randy you utter plonker. Except a low offer and hand over your 'custodianship' whilst we still have a club to be a custodian of.

Shameful what Randy and Co have turned us into.

There is no backbone left at the once mighty Villa.

The Board are feeble and clueless, the senior management is unqualified and mouse like in it's actions (or should that be inaction?). Remi Garde is a nice hard working man, but does not have the force of personality to impose his will on this bunch of disinterested players, neither is he nasty enough to frighten them into giving 100% on the pitch.

Today was a shocking display, but no more than Lerner and co deserve.

Time for fans to act like customers and stop buying the 'product' as it's shit. Seriously whilst they will get 35k we have no chance of seeing any real change.

We're down. Time to hound Lerner out of the club. He needs to sell, there's interest, he just needs to take a loss, frankly it's the least he can do after the mess he's made of his time at Villa. He made enough from his sale of The Browns to offset his losses here. Time for our loyal fans to be less loyal.

If a company in any other industry turned out a product as woeful as we have been the last few years their sales revenue would go through the floor. Football is poor enough value for money as a hobby regardless of what team you support but we end up offering something so bereft of entertainment that you have to admire our support for turning up. The saving grace for so many clubs is TV money but this season we have managed to mismanage our way out of the equivalent of winning the Euro Millions.

I know a number of Villa fans who have stopped going to matches, I also know fans who have stopped following the matches by text or whatever means they used to find. That's the really sad thing .... anger has been replaced by indifference.

Indifference is the most difficult condition for a club to deal with.

I remember us discussing the demographics of football supporters back at the start of the season, the average age of fans is increasing as football becomes more and more expensive driving away younger fans and families. If more and more people become indifferent to Villa that's going to intensify that effect. A disinterested fanbase means people are less likely to drag their kids over to games further reducing our 'next generation' of supporters. Premier League teams will have TV money to save them, successful Premier League teams will have glory hunters and tourists to count on. What do we have?

You go into any big, successful business (the ones that have customers rather than fans) and they will have a team of people working on demographics. If we had anything of the sort the findings would be far from positive for the people that run the club.
