They're near the bottom, have just sacked their manager and are in a poor run. A good chance for another win?

Wigan are beatable, but they've beaten Wolves and B'ham in the last month. We should have too much for them if we go there with a really positive attitude. It will be interesting to see how many returners from injury we have to the squad this weekend.

I'm going for a win, because a draw or loss against the second to bottom team would be a failure.

They've beat two poor, out of form sides. You'd hope we'd have too much for them. Hope probably being the key word there...

Green is back in training but it's less clear about other absences.

I went to Wigan's JJB stadium years back and a ginger ninja (Steve Sidwell) came on as a second half sub for his first match for us, and scored a cracking pile driver from 30 yards out towards the left. I think that made it game over at 4-1.

That showed the value of scoring midfielders and we had a side packed with them at the time.

Sidwell was brilliant at being anonymous later on in his time with us, but is now a regular in a team challenging for the title in the division we're 12th in. Another of the many indications of how far we've fallen.

We have seemed not to know how to get the best out of our players over the last few seasons. As you say Sandie, the fact that they move on and find regular football at decent teams is testament to this.

Lansbury and Hogan may figure tomorrow, but Baker and Green won't. It may be 4-4-2 if Bruce want's to play Kodjia and Hogan together, but Kodjia doesn't seem to like having a strike partner, so it will be interesting to see how we line up.

Kodjia and Adomah either side of Hogan, would be my expectation if Hogan is up to starting. Be interesting to see if Jedinak starts in central defence considering that he was favoured there ahead of a central defender coming on as a sub at the weekend.

Hutton in the midfield again?

Good to see Lansbury and Hogan fit.

We have to beat Wigan today to keep our confidence up. This would be a bad match to lose.
