Erm, how can I put this .... According to other sites Villa are sh*te, the system is sh*te, Hutton is a sh*te midfielder, and of course Bruce is sh*te!

Adomah hit a good cross for Hogan to score. Bruce canny manager that he is immediately subs Albert for Elphick! That'll teach Adomah to go assisting goals .... pack it in!

Another 2-0 win when we often had ten men defending. Wigan bossed the stats, but hey-ho it's another three points, so who am I to complain?

Very useful win for Villa considering the other results today. I know that im probably dreaming but 11 points behind if we carry on winning and teams ahead choke.....

The balance is better within the starting X1, we're no longer carrying players who aren't contributing defensively, cough Grealish!

You make a fair point about Grealish Jim. I will have to get use to a hard working team who actually work for each other, than wish for a bit of "class" through the midfield.

I can't get too disappointed about Villa winning games even if we aren't playing well.

Our lack of a style or the absence of scintillating play thus far under Bruce seems to disappoint a lot of people but I look at it and think that to start with he had some poor players. Things got worse when we had a run where we lost Kodjia to the AFCON and have to try and get by with Gabby Fucking Agbonlahor up front and since then we've brought in a load of players who've struggled to gel then had these injuries. How many times has Bruce had a game where all the cards have been stacked in his favour?

We've got two weeks until our next match against Norwich (ever the punishment glutton I shall be there to hopefully continue my 100% winning record at Villa Park this season) which will hopefully move us forward with regard to injuries. I genuinely think that the likes of Lansbury, Hourihane and Bree have found their feet at the club and today's goal will also help Hogan who hasn't really got going yet.
