Sorry lads I couldn't resist it.
I really am excited about Villa under the guiding hand of Remi Garde. It could just be our time. UP THE VILLA!

I reckon he could be a blinding poker player.
Reilly looked pissed. None of his signings in the first XI.

As I said on the Spurs thread, I believe that Garde will make a big difference.

I seem to recall him and Gabby getting along like a house on fire last time round.

Garde seems to have an authoritative look about him and I liked he wasn't applauding at the end like Fox and Riley (with his Smithers act) He looked pissed off and good for him. Let him rattle a few cages and shake the shit and rust off this club!!

Re: Rémi Garde: Ex-Aston Villa manager
Remi Garde will take his team-talks in English as his bids to unite the Aston Villa dressing room.
The new boss has told the club’s foreign players that they must get up to speed with the language if they are to move away from the bottom three.
Groups have already formed in the squad with the French, Spanish and English speakers all largely sticking together.
Summer signings Rudy Gestede, Idrissa Gana, Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout, and Jordan Amavi all communicate in their mother tongue. The latter two are still getting to grips with the new language.
Garde will address the issues before Sunday’s game with Manchester City and told AVTV:
"It is very important we understand each other but as well it is important the English players speak slowly sometimes at the beginning — everyone has to make an effort to be a team.
“When you have such qualities in the dressing room, normally we should do better. But my problem is not the French players it is team results. I won’t care more about the French players than the English or the Spanish. The team is the whole team.”
Garde can speak both French and English while the players who arrived from Ligue 1 this season have regular lessons after training at Bodymoor Heath.

No idea, but was there any sign of Tony Parks?GadgetMan wrote:Just saw a few seconds of footage with Remi Garde taking training and he had three guys with him who I didn't recognise. One was possibly Duverne? One was definitely Reginald Ray and the other had the Initials JA? Any ideas?
