Hmmm....
Also being linked with (alongside a number of other clubs) Reading midfielder Danny Williams.

Ravel Morrison doesn't exactly fit the "totally committed to the team, with the right attitude and leadership skills" criteria. Danny Williams has a bit of attitude, and is a strongly built player. He also has plenty of championship experience. Don't know a lot about him though apart from the fact that having learnt his football in Germany he should be sound technically.Sandie wrote:Social media rumours this morning about Ravel Morrison being in talks with us.

I would love this bit of speculation to be true. I think I've rabbited on enough times about Westwood's failings to bore you guys, but my problem with him is one word .... effectiveness. He's a hard working player who zips around making safe little passes. Does he score? Does he assist? Apart from a couple of surprises at the end of last season the answer is an emphatic no.
He may be better in the championship, but I would much rather we had a tough, assisting and goal scoring midfielder taking his place.

Can't believe we'd turn £2million for him down. The £60,000 per week pay packet makes me think the article is ballhair. He'll be on less especially after our relegation.

I think they're just trying to get a second improved offer. Silly prices are being paid for fairly ordinary players at the moment.Sandie wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3656654/Celtic-2million-approach-Scott-Sinclair-rejected-Aston-Villa.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

I'll watch him later.Sandie wrote:Chris Gunter being linked today. He was a decent player a few years ago.
Wales have defended well so he seems to be solid. He's a capable right back who would improve us defensively, but Swansea and Middlesborough are supposedly interested in signing him as he has apparently got a 1 million release clause in his contract with Reading.

Burnley are a very well run club. They're certainly more entitled than we were to use the motto 'Prepared'. I wouldn't sell Gestede to them though. He's a proven Championship goalscorer.Sandie wrote:They're after Westwood and Gestede (according to media reports) and are using our old motto and sponsor: http://www.burnleyexpress.net/sport/burnley-fc/latest-news/clarets-unveil-home-shirt-for-2016-17-season-1-7982371
