So we face another game this weekend, can we continue the upturn we saw on Tuesday night?

The game will be against Fulham who sit in 11th place, after 4 wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats. After a strong start they have started to slide slowly down the league though they did get a decent draw against Norwich, then table toppers, in midweek.

So what do we expect to happen on Saturday?

We need another win for the sake of our confidence, but I think it's unlikely. If Hutton starts it will see us with three at the back a lot of the time and AH out of position way up the right wing. Playing at Villa Park will mean a change of tactics, because the home crowd will demand more than 31% possession. I think a draw is probably the most sensible bet.

I'll go 1-1.

I too am thinking a draw. After ourselves Fulham have the second highest number of them in the league.

A draw looks likely, but I've just been thinking that one day our strikers will click. Let's hope they do against Fulham. Imagine what scoring four or five goals in a match would do for our confidence!

We certainly have strikers who can get us something out of nothing and can feed of scraps.

This is going to be so interesting to see if Brucey tinkers with the team & formation.

I think he wants to counter attack but is that just for away games?

Baker & Gardner look to have done their chances of starting no harm, I wonder if he see's Cissokho as a liability & plays Amavi instead, I hope so, Fulham will be no push over, Ross Mac to play & score?

Still prefer our midfield with Tish in it.

Me too, was it an injury that saw him drop to the bench on Tuesday or just Bruce trying something different? I think he might be a useful option for the three, though each did well on Tuesday.

Steve Bruce admitted that he's only picking "balls out of the hat" when it comes to team selection at the moment. Hopefully he will focus on his best eleven and formation asap.

At least he's honest about it. I suspect that was also the process under RDM. The irony being that it's probably an exaggeration this time!

I'm sure you're right about the exaggeration, but it will be good for him and the squad to rotate until everyone is clear what's working and what's not. It's down to the players to work their way either into or out of the match day team.

Could this be the start of a run of wins? It would be nice to take two wins into the Blues game, to give them something to think about.

With Bacuna saying that he's talked to SB about playing a midfield role, Hutton pretty much picks himself today as right back. Let's hope Bruce can convince him to put in a disciplined performance .... I doubt it but I live in hope!

Wasn't he meant to be a midfielder when we signed him?

He's a right midfielder historically, even if he doesn't play like one. Very Happy
