Due to the postponement of the Bristol City match we have ten days after the Preston game to bed a couple of midfielders into the team in training before we play Brentford. As Lansbury has missed a month of fitness due to a hamstring injury it's probably better to introduce him to the crowd before the match to get a buzz going, and not risk playing him straight away (if he's signed by then).

I still think this might happen closer to the deadline, but as I've said before I would rather see McCormack given the chance to play with the couple of assisting midfielders that we appear to be buying. I don't see much difference between Rhodes and McCormack because they both rely on good service. The only reason for buying Rhodes is if McCormack is sold imo.

Great signing, and one that we were all calling for on here so definitely a common sense signing as we know our stuff!!! Now if we can get the Hourihane deal over the line things start to look get very intresting, Landsbury is a goal getter and Hourihane is the ultimate midfield assister so on paper they are perfect signings at our level. Got a feeling we might switch our attentions to Leonardo Ulloa after his transfer request could be a great signing if we could get a left winger in as well. Always really rated Ulloa.
