Good to hear from you SLV ..... Thanks for having a quiet word with Jedinak about joining Villa. I bet he only lived around the corner from you. Very Happy How is the Croydon area these days?

It's been an interesting summer, and if we can only sort out who's going to supply and assist we could do well. We have leaders on the pitch now, which has been missing since the days of Laursen, Mellberg and Barry.

If this team can gel and play for each other, it could be entertaining stuff this season.

Having skim read the previous posts it is quite comforting to see that RDM has recruited leaders in the positions we have all been screaming about for the last 5 years. It is encouraging to see the identification and elimination of the rotten core.

Concerns still arise around strength and depth of the squad in what will be a long and arduous season, with deadline day looming the wheeling and dealing is probably frantic, I am in no doubt we will see more additions I just hope they are the right ones.

Personally I would like to see another striker & right back. We appear to have brought some steel and resilience and with the exception of McCormack there is still a lack of creativity.

Here's hoping, positive about the season but I still think achieving automatic promotion may be a step too far as it stands at the moment, I stand to be corrected.

You can thank my kids and my dog's incessant barking in him wanting to move from the neighbours from hell lol!

We're not there yet in terms of being the finished article, but we're closer than I would have thought possible just two and a half months ago.

The weapon of choice for moving Mile in our direction was noise? Clever stuff .... I knew you'd do your best for us! Transfer speculation 2016/17 - Page 26 3640643743 Transfer speculation 2016/17 - Page 26 3688355091

Westwood disappoints me every time he plays.

Shame. I liked Jores. He was great for us when he came in towards the end of 14/15 but after his injury he didn't seem to be at the races. I am somewhat concerned that it means that we're now looking at Richards (who might leave before end of the window) as 4th choice centre half. I have faith in our top three picks but only think of Richards as being capable at right back.

AVFC's twitter account confirming that Okore has joined Copenhagen on a permanent basis. That's disappointing.

So the world class number 9 was Hernandez:

Hernandez was a worthwhile target, but as I've just said we can't force a club to sell their best player to us. I have a feeling it may still happen though.

Adomah looked dangerous against us in our pre season friendly, I was impressed with him. He is one of those right wingers who "does exactly what it says on the tin". He gets up the right wing and delivers some good balls into the box. He's got useful pace as well.

Sounds good. I think we need that type of player on board. We went 4-4-2 yesterday and our only wide right option was Bacuna.
