I couldn't get on to the OS to copy this, so I've gone for the Barnsley option. I'm immemsely happy with this bit of news.

Re: Transfer speculation 2016/17
Grealish has looked like a fish out of water this season. He obviously needs to have better players around him, so why would we sell him now that we've finally got the personnel to bring out the best in him? The same goes for McCormack if he can get his head together.

I tend not to get excited about youth prospects any more. They seem to disappear between the ages of 17 and 21 at Villa. It might however be different now that Round is in charge.

I'm far from convinced Grealish is all he's cracked up to be. He's also not played every game when we've had a midfield that's utterly mince so he's going to find it even more difficult with some quality in place, unless Bruce fancies playing a midfield 6. He's good on the ball but doesn't consistently do things with it. I don't want to sell as I still hold out hope he can be the player he's hyped up to be but if we get an excellent offer it needs to be seriously considered. If they offered Rhodes (a player we want and could use) plus some cash our way I'd take it.

Re: Transfer speculation 2016/17
Jack may be a luxury player but he has some real quality. If we let him go now we will get far less than if he does suddenly light up with good support all around him. I've no problem with him being used as an impact sub, and I've no problem with him being sold at a later date if he fails to take advantage of playing with some decent players. I just think that selling him now would be premature, and would also send the wrong message to our Academy players at a time when we're trying to rejuvenate the whole set up.Sandie wrote:villabromsgrove wrote:Grealish has looked like a fish out of water this season.
